Well, I've missed you. I have written countless drafts of my next blog posting, only to get distracted and not publish it.
Several factors have contributed to my writer's block:
- a perfectionistic attitude (only posting that which is perfect or nothing at all)
- the slow house design process (we are in our 3rd revision in 8 months and still don't have a floor plan that we can afford)
- the weather (below zero temps keep us from spending time on our mountain property as we currently lack a home and dependable source of running water/heat)
- my laziness
- my laziness
- my laziness
So as we greet another year--Hello, 2014!-- I have decided to change my "blogsite" a bit. Since I am finding it hard to write unless I have a fantastic topic to write about, I'm just going to use this as my journal.
New things you can expect on this site in 2014:
- a refresh to the overall concept & look
- more blog entries & fewer time between postings
- a new page & topic (Hint: "Yum")
- more personal photos (I got a sweet Fujifilm for Christmas!)
My goals are to be honest, relevant and passionate whilst I embark upon a new (& somewhat scary) chapter in my life. An exciting chapter that involves building my first (& maybe our last) house, growing a garden, shopping and cooking organically, moving to the country and starting a first-generation farmstead. I hope you will join me on this new journey, or at the very least, you will learn something new and be inspired to do something meaningful and unique in your own life.
