Even though it's a mess, I feel thoughtful and nostalgic rather than stressed. I have moved all my life so packing boxes is a piece of cake. I am also one of those weird people who actually LIKES packing. I guess it is because I like to organize...(well, that, AND I secretly love the sound of newspaper when it crunches and the childish thrill of popping the little balloons of air in bubble wrap.)
Sorry, what was I talking about? Oh yes, moving.
So we have 4 more days to pack before Josh's parents come to town. We want to surprise them and have everything packed up so when they arrive we can relax for a few days and take them sightseeing before we load the truck this weekend.
I will stay in town with friends an extra week so that I can ride in the American Diabetes Association's Tour de Cure bike ride on March 3rd. I've been looking forward to my 62-mile route as this will be my last "hoorah" with my riding buddies.
We have been just overwhelmed with the responses of our friends and coworkers at the discovery of our big plan. We have been invited left and right to lunch, dinner, beach days and coffee breaks. I never realized how many people Josh and I know here and how much we have impacted one another. We really will miss everyone in Miami!
I guess I better stop blogging (Read: "procrastinating") and finish packing!
